Margot Morgan Margot D. Morgan
Business Coach and ECG Program Manager

Margot Morgan coaches individuals and partnerships to create the future they've always imagined for their careers or businesses. They are coached to take actions that produce success in areas that matter most, with measurable results.

While coaching within all industries, Margot's specialty is coaching those who work within the creative arena. Her clients either own businesses or work in fields such as fine art, graphic design, advertising and promotion, journalism, photography, the performing arts, interior design, event planning and more. As they learn to align the creative with the business world they grow their businesses with ease, integrity and passion.

Margot coaches her clients to:
• Take actions that produce success
• Explore their concerns, move forward and become "unstuck"
• See that creativity can exist and even flourish within business
• Dispel conversations that hold creative people back from succeeding in business

If you are a creative professional who wants to live the future you've always imagined for your business or career and you are tired of feeling like a square peg in a round hole, Margot's coaching can make all the difference. You will see what you've never seen before and hear what you've never heard before. You will learn what actions you need to take and be supported in taking those actions so that you can live a creative life in the midst of the business world.

If any of the following ring true for you, you will benefit from Margot's coaching:
• You want to speak powerfully about your work or business
• You want to learn how to handle breakdowns — big and small
• You want to increase your productivity and profitability
• You find it difficult to work with people who are "all business
• You feel stifled and want to pursue a more creative direction
• You want to make better use of your time
• You find others don't respect your creative endeavors
• You find it difficult to price your work
• You want to grow your business and reach more people

Margot herself has had many careers. She has been a teacher of dyslexic children, an art director and manager of the advertising creative department of the Charlotte Observer, a retail entrepreneur and program manager for Executive Coaching Group, Inc.

Although Margot lives in Charlotte, NC, she works weeks at a time at the Executive Coaching Group offices in New York. This enables her to coach clients both in Charlotte and New York in person and by phone. She also coaches, by phone, clients in other parts of the country.

I was continually impressed by ECG’s professionalism and knowledge…and extremely happy with the results that I achieved with Margot. The coaching experience was by no means 'cookie cutter.' Margot quickly and accurately assessed my strengths, my weaknesses and immediately understood what I wanted (and needed) to do to excel at a new and growing management role within a global financial services institution.

During our work together, Margot demonstrated terrific intuition; was candid and realistic in her coaching and was able to share examples to help me envision and adopt possibilities.

Margot made a huge difference in my career!

In the past I had been very cautious when I heard the word “coaching,” not believing in its benefits.

I read Margot’s bio and something clicked. I decided to give the coaching a try and by the end of the second session I was sold! I am happy to say I have been working with Margot from Executive Coaching for almost a year now.

Margot has helped me in so many ways, to see things I didn’t realize and accept or admit things I did. The best way I can describe her is “she is the mirror in front of my face and the voice in my head”.

Both my business and I have grown while working with her. I have accomplished tasks that I have been putting off for years. I’m striving forward while acknowledging road blocks and the ways to break through them.

I cannot recommend her enough!

Margot is highly talented at coaching and brings a very unique style. She is a great listener, great analytical thinker, and is able to meet the client where he/she is. Coaching has changed the way I think of myself and most importantly, the way I see my career.

"The coaching I received from Margot has been very helpful to me in pursuing my career as an illustrator. Her individual coaching sessions have helped me identify fears that have gotten in the way of my success in the past, develop a powerful declaration to inspire me, and better follow through on the commitments I make to myself. Most importantly, I have developed my own personal road map to help me independently create goals and chart my accomplishments as I continue to pursue my dream.

In part through Margot's coaching, I earned more in 2008 than I ever have before, even during a serious economic downturn. Margot helped me understand the value of my work and charge appropriately for it. She has been an effective coach for me, and I believe she will be effective for other creative people as well. I heartily recommend Margot Morgan as a business coach.

I am amazed at the amount we learned and the impact that Margot's coaching had on our perspective of our business. Margot understands the creative personality very well and the combination of her understanding and persistent guidance was just the right mix to motivate and teach us how to think with business minds. The time and money spent on our coaching sessions were the best investments we could have made in the future of our business
