Trisha D. Scudder Trisha D. Scudder
Founder / Principal

Trisha D. Scudder is a pioneer in the field of executive coaching and has been called one of the country's "leading executive coaches. The CEO's Secret Weapon" by Gotham magazine (October 2007). Trisha founded Executive Coaching Group, Inc., in New York in 1987 after a 10-year study of organizational transformation and leadership. Today the firm has coaches based in New York, Philadelphia and Charlotte.

Executive Coaching Group specializes in consulting entrepreneurs, senior management of corporations, marketing agencies and Wall Street firms. Whether coaching a CEO or management team, ECG's approach has a transforming impact and produces practical business results. Trisha believes when leaders grow, companies grow. The coaches of Executive Coaching Group unleash clients' vision, creativity and leadership.

Trisha has been privileged to coach more than 200 CEOs, Presidents, EVPs, SVPs, Creative Directors and Directors of Marketing, supporting them to be extraordinary leaders, motivating managers and creative thinkers. Clients include executives and management teams at AIG, Bank of America, Bear Stearns, Chase, Citigroup, Lipton, Miller Brewing, Morgan Stanley, Nabisco, Pier 1, VF Corp. and YRC Worldwide. Major marketing communications firms ECG has served include Campbell-Ewald, Grey Healthcare, JWT, Kirshenbaum Bond and many Omnicom agencies.

Trisha is coach/facilitator to a New York chapter of the Women Presidents' Organization. In 2005 she was selected to be a facilitator at the first Clinton Global Initiative bringing together 1,500 world leaders to form strategic alliances to eradicate poverty, disease, government corruption and climate change.

Trisha entered advertising as a copywriter at Leo Burnett, later becoming creative director on the Revlon account at Grey. In 1981, she created the marketing strategy, fashion look and name "Swatch" for a new line of inexpensive Swiss watches. Swatch is cited by strategy guru Gary Hamel in "Competing for the Future" as "imaginative, compelling and foresightful... not just a marketing innovation, Swatch was a reconception of the entire Swiss watchmaking industry. The result: 25 million watches produced in 1992, a revitalized Swiss watchmaking industry..." In 1989 Swatch was named a "Marketing Milestone of the Decade" by The Wall Street Journal.

An honors graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, Trisha is an opera lover, avid skier and cyclist. For 25 years she has been a Global Investor and fundraiser for The Hunger Project. She has been interviewed by The Wall Street Journal, Fox News, CNN and Gotham magazine about time management and executive coaching. Trisha lives in Manhattan.

Thank you, Trisha. You are a wonderful blend of pit bull and princess — you had the ability to get in my face and not let me get away with crap, while at the same time letting me know that you genuinely cared about my success. While that may be an odd recommendation, it is one of the highest I can give.
Robert T. Fell
Director of Client Service / Partner
Pavone, Inc.

The way you approached our assignment in a firm, authoritative, yet gentle manner helped me maintain this as a priority. You should also know that each time we met I experienced a new insight, which I attribute to your ability to ask simple yet amazing questions that resulted in powerful realizations. What a gift you have!
Veronica L. Jaster
VP Marketing Communications

As the year ended, the chairman of YRC Worldwide — to whom I report — told me it was my best year yet. Trisha clearly played an important role in my success and the success of my team. Her coaching has helped me:

  • Develop my marketing team, freeing me to do more corporate strategic work
  • Juggle work/family responsibilities
  • Think in new ways for new solutions in today's challenging business environment
"I encourage you to work with Trisha and discover the benefits of her one-of-a-kind coaching for yourself.
