Startup & Technology Coach
Seyhan Barin is ECG’s startup coach with over 15 years of global leadership experience in fast growing tech startups. She is a coach, consultant and advisor for several startup clients in New York and London.
Seyhan’s mission at ECG is to empower executives and managers at tech startups to unleash their leadership potential and empower their employees to perform at a level of productivity that produces extraordinary results for the organizations they serve.
In her leadership position at Borderfree, a global ecommerce startup, she played a key role building and transforming diverse technical teams in six countries: The United States, Israel, Jordan, China, India and U.K. She successfully led multiple teams with different skillsets and worked closely with executives through the full startup life cycle: From 50 to 300 employees, pivot to IPO and then the acquisition by a large global corporation, Pitney Bowes. She twice received a “CEO Excellence Award” for her achievements and was recognized for innovation and global leadership.
Seyhan currently serves as an advisory board member for Optimum Partners, a tech startup with offices in New York and Jordan, and is an investor at a travel tech startup based in London.
In addition to Seyhan’s global experience in technology, she received training as a coach by participating in coaching seminars and trainings at Landmark Worldwide, Accomplishment Coaching Institute (ICF accredited), and from master coaches at ECG.
Seyhan has mentored and coached individuals and groups in nonprofit organizations in New York since 2008. She recently was a volunteer coach and trainer at StreetWise Partners and coached young professionals to land their dream
job in technology.
Seyhan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from METU (Middle East Technical University) in Ankara, Turkey, and a Master’s degree in Organizational Development from UIW (University of Incarnate Word) in San
Antonio, Texas. For her Master’s program, she researched and studied effective leadership, change management and strategy design. She won several academic awards, a full-tuition government scholarship, a corporate scholarship and
two graduate research scholarships through project competitions and departmental achievements.
Seyhan currently divides her time between New York and London.
