Herma is an internationally recognized executive coach for more than 20 years, making a difference with high level individuals of various backgrounds, management teams, governments and communities. She has spoken about the impact of coaching and ECG’s approach at Harvard, Yale, Columbia, LaGuardia College and corporate conferences around the world.
Known as a passionate and entertaining speaker she has contributed successfully to many events. She has been invited to speak in the U.S. and Europe including before the German American Chamber, the European Roundtable and the American Association of Orthodox Jewish People, to name a few.
Herma’s ability to get to the heart of issues and her keen listening beyond the obvious has caused immediate breakthroughs for her clients, often at their first coaching session. Herma has worked with organizations in South Africa, The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, the U.K., Eastern Europe, and of course the U.S. Her varied professional experience with multinational companies allows her to understand the business concerns of diverse industries in a very short time. Executives and executive teams she has worked with include Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Marsh, Duff & Phelps, NYCHHC, Bellevue Hospital, Swiss Re, IBM, Proctor and Gamble and many others.
Prior to becoming a principal with Executive Coaching Group, Herma was a senior consultant with LEBD, a global consulting firm, and had successful careers in commercial real estate and international shipping.
Herma was educated in Germany and has an MBA in International Trade and Shipping. She is an active member in the international community in New York and a member of the German American Chamber and the European American Chamber. She volunteers her time to lead seminars for the general public that cover topics such as commitment, leadership and creativity.
She has served on the boards of Youth at Risk, Aging in America and the Germanistic Society. Herma is a world traveler, an avid athlete, an expert skier, a passionate sailor and a so-so golfer. Herma lives with her husband, Matt, in Manhattan.
